NEW EDUCATIONAL PLAY WEBSITE PUTS PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIPS BACK ON LINE
A new innovative and educational service designed for parents with children aged two to six-years-old, was recently launched in the UK and it has a big thumbs up from us here at ToddleBabes. The service is made up of interactive games of both an entertainment and educational nature in the fields of emotional and social development. ChooChooGames (www.choochoogames.co.uk) uses the online medium purposely to engage children and their parents in a learning conversation and in turn, a shared learning experience.

Taming a Tough Toddler at Bedtime

Putting your toddler to bed can sometimes be an exercise in frustration. If you have experienced this, you might want to consider one of the following techniques to make bedtime a peaceful time.
Be consistent about bed times and waking times. Your toddler is more likely to respond positively if he’s used to a specified schedule. The earlier your child’s routine is established, the easier it is to put them to bed without incident.

In a November 2005 issue of the “The Straits Times”, a leading Singapore daily broadsheet, there is a report on Singaporean scientists’ ongoing efforts to find a way to transmit ‘cyber hugs.’ “The team is thinking of a wireless pajama suit for children,” says research director Adrian Cheok, “which would use the Internet to adjust pressure and temperature to simulate the feeling of being hugged. Babies often have minor illnesses which you do not need to worry about. Make sure your baby drinks plenty of fluids and is not too hot. If your baby sleeps a lot , wake him regularly for a drink.
