Blossom branch

May 14th, 2010

This is a simple craft for young children. Using some basic materials and inspiration from nature, you can create a beautiful blossom branch to welcome the arrival of Spring.

Age group: 18 months +

What you need:

  • Twigs or branch
  • tissue paper
  • Glue (PVA works well)

What to do:

  1. Find or provide a twig or stick (even more fun if  your child finds a twig themselves) for each child.
  2. Cut up or tear tissue paper into small pieces (use white/pink or crimsom depending on what colour blossom you want).
  3. Pour small amount of PVA glue into a bowl.
  4. Scrunch up each piece of tissue paper and dip in PVA glue – stick tissue paper onto twig to create blossom and allow to dry.

These look great in a vase or just to decorate your Spring table.
