Easter Crowns

March 19th, 2010

You’ve heard of Easter Bonnets…well here is a fun and fresh alternative. Using card and a little glue and celotape, you could soon be the best dressed at your Easter parade.

Age group: 5 years + (younger with lots of adult help)

What you need:

  • A long wide strip of green card
  • Darker green card cut into thin strips
  • Yellow and orange card
  • Celotape/ stapler and glue

What to do:

  1. Draw a zigzag on the long wide green card and cut it out (so it looks like grass)
  2. Draw some flowers on to the yellow and orange card and cut them out.
  3. Make some flowers using the dark green strips as stems and the yellow and orange card flowers
  4. Tape the stems to the green zigzag card so that the flowers a poking out from the grass.
  5. Bend the crown around your head and tape or staple it together.

* You could also make paper bees, butterflies and ladybirds and have them sticking out of the grass or along the headband.
