3 Spidery Things to Make and Eat

Get some creepy crawlies into your kitchen with child friendly spider treats!
Spider suckers are cute and make great party favours or table decorations
What you need:
- Suckers (1 per spider)
- Pipe cleaners (in whatever colours you like)

googly eyes
What to do:
- Wrap pipe cleaners around the base of the sucker (the bottom of the round part where it attaches to the stick)
- Wrap this so that there are 4 legs on each side.
- Glue googly eyes on the body of the spider.
- Bend the legs to hold the sucker up from the table.
Bread Spiders make a tasty, creepy treat
What you need:
- sliced bread
- peanut butter
- Pretzel sticks for legs (x8)

Raisins or smarties (x8)
What to do:
- Smear the peanut butter onto the slice of bread
- Stick 4 pretzel legs in either side of the bread. The peanut butter will hold them in place.
- Use raisins or smarties for eyes.

Eat and enjoy!
Spidery Tea cakes that will delight your toddler
What you need:
- tea cakes (1 per spider)
- Licorice or strawberry laces (for the legs)
- silver balls or smarties (for the eyes)

icing sugar for gluing on the eyes
What to do:
- Cut the laces into approximately 10cm lengths
- Poke 8 holes around the edge of the tea cakes
- Stick the laces into the holes to make legs
- Use icing sugar to stick on the smarties/silver balls.
