PRODUCT REVIEW OF NIVEA’S NEW POCKET SIZE CHILDREN’S SUNBLOCK

Here at ToddleBabes we recently had the chance to sample some of Nivea’s new range of portable, on the go sunblock for kids.

I used it on my 1 year old son and my 3 year old daughter who promptly told me;

“This cream smells nice mom and it’s not sticky”

I have to say, the quality of the cream is lovely and the texture is nice and light. It did not leave any sticky residue as many other creams do and because it absorbed quickly into the skin, they were not left looking like spooks.
It offers a high factor protection of 30 and is compliant with the new EU guidelines which gave me peace of mind about the quality of the cream, especially on my toddlers’ delicate skin.
The Pocket Size bottle (50ml) is convenient and easy to keep in your bag for those times you find yourself in need of immediate sun protection when caught unprepared.

The only thing that was negative, is that the bottle itself is a lot of plastic packaging in a time when society is trying to minimise waste. There are many creams in pouch style containers which (although not as small as this) are less wasteful. So let’s hope that is something Nivea is happy to work on!

I have to say, that we definitely like the quality, smell and texture of the cream and will continue to use it.

Oh and I recently used it as face cream for my children whilst on holiday in  very sunny Portugal and am happy to report that neither one had even the slightest hint of a sunburn!
