October 22nd, 2009
The Pink Ribbon Gala concert 2009, at Cadogan Hall, London, on Sunday 8 November, is a star-studded evening of music, poetry and song to help Breast Cancer Campaign continue funding vital research into beating breast cancer.
The Pink Ribbon Gala Concert is organized by world famous composer Debbie Wiseman M.B.E., who will conduct The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to the sounds of Bach, Borodin, Britten, Holst and Tchaikovsky as well as featuring Debbie’s own film and TV compositions.
Not only are the profits of the evening’s entertainment supporting a good cause, it also boasts a star-studded guest-list. Celebrity guests will include presenter Simon Bates, George Layton, Cherie Lunghi, Timothy West, Prunella Scales, and vocalist Mary Carewe. ‘Nothing Grows On Gold’ – a song especially composed by Debbie Wiseman with lyrics by Oscar winning lyricist Don Black O.B.E. – will be premiered at The Pink Ribbon Gala Concert.
Debbie said “The Pink Ribbon Gala concert is a unique evening of music and poetry in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign. Campaign is a charity close to my heart and the concert is a tribute to those who have battled against breast cancer and a way in which the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and I can help raise funds to allow research to continue.”
Elizabeth Cook, Event Manager at Breast Cancer Campaign said, “The Pink Ribbon Gala Concert offers entertainment for everyone. If you’ve never been to see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra live then what better time to give it a try and help raise funds for breast cancer research.”
