Wear it Pink to Beat Breast Cancer
October 9th, 2009

On Friday 30 October, millions of people all over the UK will be wearing pink and donating £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign to mark the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Sheridan Smith has pledged her support as the wear it pink ambassador by modeling a one-of-a-kind pink dress, tailor made out of recycled materials.
Created by bespoke London fashion designers Kerry Seager and Annika Sanders, the creative duo behind Junky Styling, the dress is made from items of pink clothing donated by supporters at their London flagship store.
Sheridan; “I’m thrilled to be supporting Breast Cancer Campaign’s wear it pink day on Friday 30 October. The dress that Junky Styling created for me is gorgeous, environmentally friendly and each piece of fabric has been sown with the 46,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer each year in mind.”
“I want to encourage everyone in the country to don their pink outfits to raise money for Campaign to continue funding vital research into beating breast cancer. Anyone, anywhere can take part… just wear it pink at work, at school or with friends and family and make a £2 donation. I’ll be wearing pink on Friday 30 October to take part in this fantastic national fundraising event and I hope you will too!”
It’s time to beat breast cancer and for only £2 Campaign challenge you to wear it pink on Friday 30 October, at work, at home or at school and help save lives.
