Cute Reindeer to make
December 7th, 2009
Everyone loves Santa’s reindeer so here’s how to use your toddler’s foot and handprints to make this adorable reindeer face.
Age group: 6 months +
What you need:
- Brown and tan (or orange/yellow) construction paper
- Pencil
- red paper scrap (for the nose)
- Scissors
- Glue
-
Googly eyes (optional)
What to do:
- Trace around the child’s foot using brown construction paper. This will be the reindeer’s head. You may prefer to print your child’s foot onto white paper using brown paint.
- Trace around the child’s hands using tan construction paper. These 2 pieces will be the reindeer’s antlers. You may prefer to print your child’s hands onto white paper using tan/orange/yellow paint
- Glue the handprint “antlers” to the top of the reindeer.
- Add a bright red paper nose, a paper (or drawn) mouth, and googly eyes (or paper eyes) to the reindeer’s head.
The great thing with this craft is that the sizes of the reindeer will vary according to the sizes of your children’s feet..makes a really sweet looking display!
