The adventures of Jingle, Our Christmas Elf, Day 9
This morning Jingle made, what he called a ShoeShoe Train. This is essentially a row of shoes lined up and filled with “passengers”.
He had rolled out a piece of wide Christmas ribbon to make a track for him and his fellow passengers in front of the Christmas tree. He lined up a random selection of my children’s shoes along the ribbon and in each of the shoes was an action figure. I guess he visited the playroom in the night and recruited some help!
My 4 year old thought it was really funny and was able to understand the ShoeShoe reference. He said: Mommy, he made it Shoe Shoe instead of ChoCho!
Jingle also left us his usual little message, written on a small Christmas card. This time he asked us to remember not to shout at each other. (Something my youngest boy struggles with-he always shouts at his siblings). There was also a Santa or reindeer chocolate lolly each, which (don’t tell ANYONE) I allowed them to have before breakfast! shhhhh!
Jingle and the action figures riding the Shoe Shoe train
Did your elf do anything funny today? Or has he done a ShoeShoe train? I’d love to hear about it. Oh, and please no comments about the horrible carpet! I know it is awful, disgusting and vile…believe me I wish it were gone! It was here when we moved in 2 years ago and is going to be replaced with wooden flooring as soon as the budget allows!
